LOCATION: Johannesburg Central
SALARY AND BENEFITS: R800 000 – R950 000 CTC p/a neg.
DESCRIPTION / SYNOPSIS: Our client is seeking an experienced Management Accountant for their Engineering division in Johannesburg Central. This role is pivotal in maintaining financial integrity, managing a large amount of individual projects, and contributing to the organization's growth. As a Management Accountant, you will play an active role in project accounting, project financial management, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:CA(SA) or CIMA qualification3-5 years' experience in Project accountingExperience in Construction/ Heavy Engineering/ Energy sector essentialProficiency in IFRS, GAAP, and US GAAP.Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance experience.Expertise in ERP system implementation and support.Project costing knowledge, including Percentage of Completion and WIP reporting.Professional reporting capabilities.RESPONSIBILITIES: Your key responsibilities include: Ensuring project data accuracy through ERP system tasks.Collaborating with project managers for project cost reviews, budgets and profitably analysisDeveloping strategies to mitigate risk and maintain project margins, revenue recognition, on-time project delivery and related accruals and provision requirements.Conducting precise month-end project revenue and margin reporting.Ensuring reconciliation of accounts and prompt issue resolution.Explaining budget variances and preparing journal entries.Managing CRS reporting and delivering project performance reviews.Handling external reporting requirements.Contributing to forecasts, plans, and budgets.Reviewing capital projects and overseeing ROIC performance.Collaborating on process and system improvements.Creating and sharing management reports.SOFT SKILLS & ADDITIONAL INFO: Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.Excellent problem-solving abilities.Collaborative team player.Adaptable and open to change.High level of integrity and ethical conduct.If you are a project driven Management Accountant with strong Project Costing knowledge, strong technical and commercial skills and the ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines, this Project Accountant role in Johannesburg Central is available now.
