12 Month contract with Financial Services company for Management Accountant with up to 3 years' experience post honours qualification. MANAGEMENT ACCOUNT Purpose of the role: To provide monthly statutory, regulatory and management reporting for a specified C&I business units Minimum Qualification Bachelor of Accounting Honours Degree or equivalent Preferred Qualification CA (SA) Experience Required 1 to 3 years' experience in a similar environment Cost Containment Demonstrate cost consciousness and awareness of personal contribution to costs and productivity Identify and escalates potential risks that may lead to increased costs Prevent wastage and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs Customer Experience and Satisfaction Adhere to Organisational values and service standards and interact with and communicate with customers accordingly Ensure first time resolution of customer queries or complaints and take ownership of any requirements and follow up on queries handed over to other parties or areas to ensure delivery on agreed time lines and Service Level Agreements Meet set turnaround times while ensuring own availability, reliability and accuracy Propose improvements on internal processes that impacts service levels and customer satisfaction within area of accountability Ensure own product knowledge and guidance provided is technically accurate and collects feedback to help improve customer service Relationship Management: Establish relationships with relevant individuals and departments to deliver on work expectations Adhere to relevant service level agreements to build trust in the relationship Risk and Compliance: Comply with and adhere to identified governance and compliance standards and escalate problems for investigation and resolution Identify and escalate risk as normal part of work Business Process: Investigate new ways to optimise processes Flag opportunities to migrate to platform and supports the use of technology in process and system improvements Draw on knowledge and experience to identify and develop solutions that lead to improved service delivery and quality Reporting: Provide timeous reports on operations, performance and audit findings Report on transactional activity progression within set guidelines to provide timely information for decision making in area of accountability Business Information Analysis: Analyse financial performance from different management views and interpret and provide business reasons for the movements Consolidate information into the required reporting format / structure Provide commentary on income statement and balance sheet items, as well as capital utilisation, in relation to the bank's risk return framework Explain deviations from forecast and budgets, all once-offs (unexpected income) and losses Engage with business to understand performance Perform statutory reporting in accordance with accounting standards or framework Perform regulatory reporting in accordance with relevant or updated regulations Analytics : Collect and analyse data to determine cost of business activities and report on results Provide advice and technical assistance through cost analysis Apply principles and relevant methodologies of cost accounting to analyse data in order to yield detailed cost insights and information Business process: Provide support to business unit by providing input into budget including budget loading and calculations Analyse monthly budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls Utilise information from operating budgets to analyse trends affecting budget needs Keep a record of cost information for use in controlling expenditures Contact me at the detail supplied below.
