Salary: R 30,000.00 - 45,000.00 (South African Rand)About the job: Management AccountantPurpose:The key function of this role is to analyse financial information and implement effective strategies to enhance overall business performance. Responsible for the preparation of management accounts and several other reports whilst also overseeing general accounting procedures and practices within the business.Key Responsibilities:Support the CFO & Treasury Accountant.Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth.Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making.Produce month end and year end journals.Prepare monthly management accounts and other financial reports such as budgets.Present reports to senior management to aid with business decision making.Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process.Compile strategies that will reduce business costs.Advise on the financial implications of business decisions.Manage capital expenditure.Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations.Develop and oversee financial procedures and identify opportunities to improve these.Control income and expenditure within the business and ensure that expenditure is in line with budgets.Communicate with all levels within the organisation and present financial information to non-finance members of staff.Analyse and manage risk within the business.Minimum Requirements:Grade 12 / Matric.Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.5-7 years experience in a similar role within the industry.Experience in budgeting and forecasting.Experience in preparing financial reports and statements.Knowledge of CargoWise.Package Details:
