Reference: PC001603-RC-1Our client in the golfing industry is seeking an experienced accountant to lead and manage all aspects of the Club's Financials in Mowbray, Cape Town.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent/ TemporarySECTOR: LeisureBASIC SALARY: Market RelatedSTART DATE: A.S.A.P / ImmediateRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5 years proven experience as an accountant or in a similar roleMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Clubmaster (Advantageous)Other accounting softwareAttention to detailStrong understanding of accounting processes and proceduresAdherence to ethical standards and integrity in financial practicesDuties:Bank Management:Process the bank statement into the accounting system dailyReconcile the Bank GL accountProcess payments on a weekly basisAccounts Receivable:Capture receipts, verify supporting documents for validity & accuracyProcess debtor invoices where requiredManage financial admin for membership accountsManage & reconcile member spending accountsAccounts Payable:Manage the weekly creditors payment listPrepare all creditor payment batches in the accounting systemEnsure all invoices processed are valid & accurateMonth-end and Year-end closure:Ensure all month end journal entries are postedPrepayments, accruals, provisionsReconcile all Balance Sheet general ledger accountsSARS VAT201 preparation and submission, as well as reconciling VAT on all sales items (incl. sales credits)Maintain Fixed Asset Register & monitor Capital ExpenditureAnnual audit preparation:Compile & prepare the relevant supporting documents & files as requested by the Auditors.Assist the auditors during the audit with any queries.Human Resources/ Compliance/ Legislation:IT14SD preparation and Workings (VAT & payroll Taxes)Full payroll function, UI-19 submissions, EMP201, Annual and bi-annual EMP501 reconciliations, IRP5's and Workman's Compensation Annual ReturnsHours:8 – 5 Monday to FridayClosing Date:31 April 2024Should you meet all the requirements, apply on our website at www.statusstaffing.com today.
