Maize Seeds & Traits Comm Strat Integrator Job Purpose: Accountable for developing and implementing the Commercial Maize Seeds Go-To-Market (GtM) strategies and campaigns for key farmer and channel segments with the view to achieving sustainable profitability and market share consistent with the KPI's, by satisfying current and future customer needs through tailored solutions.Enable country groups to execute effectively on their Corn go-to-market strategies.Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Develop & implement short, mid and long term integrated Go to Market (GtM) strategies and campaigns for Maize seeds, adapting global crop strategies to Africa / key customer segment needs and requirements.Ensure that GtM strategies are effectively executed through tactical marketing plans across Africa based on customer segmentation (Commercial).Partner with Dekalb Portfolio Lead for Africa to bring needs for products/solutions to achieve strategies and coordinate with regional crop teams to ensure availability of such products/solutions for corn/crop rotation systems.Develop value proposition of products and tailored solutions based in collaboration with Agronomy Excellence, Breeding, Field Solutions and Customer Facing units.Manage, support and coordinate pricing and market funding strategy as part of the GtM to ensure profitable business growth in Africa.Lead & coordinate the Acceleron Value proposition for Maize and define tailored solutions and translate into GtM strategies and marketing campaigns.Act as the key Maize Seeds GTM reference on the Commercial space for implementation of GtM strategy.Analyze corn market, macro-trends, customer needs and competitor strategies to identify new business opportunities based upon unmet needs of current and new customers, including partners in the food value chain.Collaborate with business intelligence (Commercial Ops) and customer insight team to generate necessary customer insight to develop customer centric GtM strategies and aligned campaigns.Effectively evaluate the crop business potential in each of the country groups and allocate GtM resources accordingly for efficient campaign definition and execution.Ensure efficient implementation of key stewardship measures as part of the tailored crop solution.Contribute to talent development in Africa by developing relevant competencies through continuous feedback and mentorship.Collaborate with internal and external partners across South Africa to effectively ensure the development and implementation of the strategy.Create a customer centric and 'on the ground' Corn GtM team in Africa which places customer needs, value proposition and practical implementation central to all decision making.Identify new and innovative (disruptive) ways along with regional crop teams to drive and grow the Corn business in Africa.Support the development/implementation of corn GtM Strategy in South Africa.Qualification and Competencies: Degree in Agronomy and/or Business Administration.Minimum 5 years' experience in marketing, strategic planning and/or sales.Solid knowledge of agricultural systems and farm agronomy with relevance to the Africa cluster.Ability to develop and integrate grower segment insights/needs into innovative GtM strategies to expand customer base and grow the business.Ability to utilize complex data points in order to understand market trends and anticipate future requirements.Ability to develop/execute differentiating strategies based on compelling and novel solutions for customer needs.Ability to develop and implement successful strategic business plans aligned to customer needs within the ag sector.Ability to develop, foster and utilize a broad base of networks at all levels of the organization and across geographies and integration to strategic needs.Ability to drive change in complex and stable organizations while not being disruptive to the business.Ability to collaborate/communicate with and develop internal and external partnerships.Ability to work well across both commercial and smallholder farmer markets.Lead and develop teams and talents.Application Period: 03 December - 10 December 2024
