Sterrekopje, a biodiverse farm based in the picturesque Franschhoek, is looking for a focused and practically oriented individual to join their team as Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, curious at heart, and shows initiative to enhance and maintain the farm's guesthouse. The successful candidate will report to the Farm Manager and will be responsible for (but not limited to):Electrical maintenancePlumbing, including daily inspection of public areas to prevent blockagesIdentify and resolve carpentry issuesPaintingDaily room inspectionWeekly site inspection and fault reportingGeneral guest assistance: loading of luggage, parcel deliveries, assist guests with directions and facility/layout enquiriesInspection of roofs and gutters to ensure they are clean and free from blockages/obstructionsDaily gas checksGeneral pool and equipment maintenanceMaintenance of golf cars and bicyclesHotel setup and breakdownAll other maintenance tasks related to the positionEssential qualifications, skills and experience:Matric required, relevant training/qualification will be advantageous3-5 years' experience in a similar roleDrivers license & own reliable transportStrong communication skills (Afrikaans & English)Please apply online at www.m3online.co.za before 09:00 on 4 June 2024.
