They now provide medical devices to a global healthcare customer base, from start-up companies through to global corporations. They are winning new assignments daily and are in the process of expanding their operations through securing long-term client contracts.We are seeking a Maintenance Technician (either bias) with a degree of multi-skilling, to enter a lone Maintenance Technician role for our client based in Sedgefield.You will work in a cleanroom environment, delivering maintenance activities to 3 clean rooms & 5 production lines (small scale).The role comes with 3 main responsibilities: 1) to provide reactive maintenance & fix breakdowns, 2) to deliver planned maintenance and help deliver, as well as coordinate, machine servicing, and 3) to help set machines within production lines.THE ROLEDelivering planned and reactive maintenance.Maintaining 5 small scale, basic production lines.Working to maintain equipment such as mixing vessels, small belt conveyors, labelling machines, ink jet systems, injection filling machines, sensors & heating elements, etc.Working to set production line-based machinery within a pharmaceutical environment.Common breakdown issues you will encounter will include loose sensors, automated lines being out of sync, belt conveyors to be realigned, calibrating and resetting machines.Working to deliver first line maintenance support to machinery, such as checking conveyor alignments, identifying machine faults, loose sensors/connections, etc.Completing basic mechanical and electrical tasks.Documenting machine faults and recording issues within the company management system.THE PERSON + ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Ideally time served maintenance technician with a degree of multi-skilling, mechanical with basic electrical (as a minimum).Experienced to operate as a lone worker within delivering a maintenance function.Able to effectively deliver machine changeovers.Able to diagnose and rectify common machine faults.Competent to escalate major breakdown issues and work with outside suppliers to ensure correct fixes.Proactive nature.Basic IT and computer use.TO APPLYPlease apply for this position and your CV will go direct to Tony Hutchinson who is leading the search.
