The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for all Electrical installations allocated to Paint shop and to ensure that all facilities are properly maintained to perform at optimum levels.Possible Tasks within this RoleEnsuring that all Paint shop electrical installations and PLC systems are maintained to the Group standards and requirements in order to ensure safe plant operation by means of structured maintenance systems such as PMs, check lists, weekend work job cards etc.Recommending, updating and modifying electrical installations to the latest engineering technology in order to stay in line with the latest technologies available on the market by constantly dealing with external suppliers and similar industrial companies.Maintaining of electrical equipment to meet the required health & safety standards to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.Making the necessary adjustments to facilities such as conveyor speeds, fan speeds, system pressures, tank levels etc. by means of PLC settings, controller adjustments and thereafter verify that the adjustments produced the required outcome by measuring the output performance/parameters.Carrying out planned maintenance activities using the correct tools and testing equipment according to the Group's systems, processes and procedures to ensure that all equipment is serviced at the required intervals as determined from time to time by the maintenance planner / original equipment supplier.Activating participation on daily basis in the Shop Floor Management structure. This includes sectional meetings and problem resolution activities/implementation as driven by the team.Qualification requirementsNN Diploma/ National Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering (light current) / MechatronicsTrade test certificate Electrician /MillwrightExperience neededMinimum 2-4years proven operations and maintenance experience within in the manufacturing environmentEssentialGood experience in VSD control system (Danfoss & SEW)Understanding of PLC systems (preferably Siemens Simatic S7) / SCADA (WinCC or similar)Proven problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to communicate verbally and orally at various levels (operator to management level)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamMust be computer literate (MS Office)Added AdvantagesAutomation experienceCertified training (PLCs Drives, etc.).
