Maintenance Technician – EL IDZ

For our location in IDZ East London, South Africa, we have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, you are an integral part of the related team, providing guidance in all local financial decisions. The successful candidate is a problem-solver who will work closely with the General Manager and local management team to further improve the business. * Preference will be given to employees from the Designated Groups.
Tasks:Ensure tooling and equipment conforms to the Groups HSE standards and that Production equipment is well maintained and in good working order.Ensure that the supporting structures and facilities are well maintained and that tooling equipment and related are maintained.Ensure maintenance of tooling, machines and industrialization equipment.Maximize machine availability and support to production.Contribute to the improvement of electrical and mechanical standards.Ensure electrical and mechanical equipment conforms to the Group's HSE standards.Ensure that production equipment is well maintained and in good working order.Maintenance of tooling and related equipment.Ensure facilities are well maintained.Be contactable after hours to provide support.Prepare weekly maintenance reports.Process related problem solving and support.Support and set up of machines, robots and grippers.Understand all equipment performance capabilities.Know each equipment duty and its impact if underperforming.Ensure all work orders are attended to.Close work orders in CVe.Required qualifications:2-3 years post-apprentice experience within a Plastic Injection Moulding Manufacturing environment.Extensive knowledge of plastic injection tooling and processes.Computer literacy in Excel.We look forward to receiving your application!
