Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

Health & Safety statutory compliance, external audit training and maintenance of effective housekeeping and image on site
Issuing of permits to contractors and workers on site whilst supervising tasks are done safely and to standards conforming to the health and safety act
Plant operations efficiency and availability (95%)
Plant and Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and coordinate root cause analysis in machine failure.
Provide timeous feedback to management with regards to project status and identify non-conforming equipment
Implement leading mechanical maintenance design and safety concepts for continuous improvement.
Adhere to all aspects of QMS programme
Establishing and maintain lasting relationships with key suppliers
Monitor inventory of consumables, equipment and critical spares
Supervise and manage team performance to achieve work unit objectives (individual and team)

Qualifications & Experience

Artisan qualification (Mechanical Engineering/Fitter)
Min of 3-5 years proven industry experience in plant maintenance, of which at least 2 years has been in a leadership/senior position
Computer and financial Literacy
Valid driver's license

Successful candidate must be willing to permanently relocate and be based in Piet-Retief.
