Large Estate & Hotel in the Muldersdrift area is looking for a Maintenance & Projects Manager to assist with the overall management of the facilities and infrastructure on the Estate.The position will sit within our Maintenance team and will perform a variety of tasks such as planning and running new projects, the installation, preventative and proactive maintenance, inspection and repair of existing infrastructure. You will perform work required for the maintenance and repair of buildings or other facility systems. The candidate will look after the Maintenance and Gardens & the design, upkeeping and building of the footpaths / hiking trails on the Estate. The responsibility will include running, maintaining and managing the maintenance on the estate including its assets and staff management.Responsibilities:Planning and running special projects from inception to completionPerforms preventive, and pro-active maintenanceWater: The supply, monitoring, testing and maintenance on all pumps, piping, fittings, bore holes.Pools: Maintaining all pools including pool pumps and chemicalsSewerage: Monitoring, recording, dosing, maintenance on all equipment including pumpsRoads and trails: Building, upkeep, grading and drainagePlant and Equipment: Maintain, service and repairVehicles: Maintain, service and repairGardens: Plant, irrigate, cut and maintainEstate fields: Bush cut, weed eat and maintainMaintenance: Maintain all aspects of maintenance comprising of, carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Air-conditioning, Refrigeration, Tools, Machinery, Painting, water proofing, minor building, gasHealth and Safety: Ensuring hotels are compliant including record keepingAdministration: Monthly account recons, quotes, purchasing, reports, stock taking, registers, budgeting, planningRequirements:Matric & a formal technical qualificationAt least 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Manager at a similar propertyHave management skills to manage a teamBe a highly organised individualBe highly proactive and positiveBe accountable and responsible
