Maintenance Planner - Waterplant

We are looking for an extremely organized and Software Savvy MAINTENANCE PLANNER with exceptional coordination skills, to maintain the company's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), plan all maintenance activities, and review & report on monthly maintenance efficiency.
This position will report into the Maintenance Manager and will be based in Western Cape The ideal candidate will need to have a Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, working experience with either SAP or PLANTMAN, and ideally 5 years practical experience in water or heavy industry - with direct involvement with operation and maintenance plant equipment. SUMMARY OF ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:Overall planning of maintenance tasks on a weekly & monthly basisReview and assess emergency and preventative maintenance activities for continuous improvement and to ensure efficient maintenance, staff allocation, stock keeping of spares and minimise downtimeMaintaining the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Assist the Maintenance Manager with the annual review of the preventative maintenance strategy.
Develop and manage detailed maintenance schedules and work orders for all relevant equipment Coordinate and schedule all maintenance activitiesEnsuring that all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
Work with vendors and contractors as needed around maintenance activities.. Work with engineering and operations teams to plan and implement equipment modifications and upgrades Procurement of necessary maintenance supplies and equipment - work closely with procurement to expedite spares/equipment required for work ordersMaintain accurate records of maintenance performed, equipment condition, and maintenance costsCentral contact person for the site around equipment maintenance, projects schedules and reschedules.
Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability.
Generate monthly reports for client indicating all the maintenance completed per plant/area.
 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCE:Must have: a minimum of 5 years practical experience in Water or Heavy Industry with direct involvement with operation and maintenance of plant equipment.
Must have: National Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (NQF Level 6) Must have: Experience on CMMS software (ideally SAP or PLANTMAN) Computer literate (Google workspace tools + experience with Cloud Computing, such as Docusign).
Exceptional Organizational, Verbal and written communication skills. .
