An exciting opportunity exists at Nampak Metals-Rosslyn for a Maintenance Planner . This position reports to the Technical Manager and is graded at Peromnes 09.
Key responsibilities include:  Verify work requests and obtain more information if required Remove duplicate/invalid requests Convert valid and complete work requests into work orders Update meter readings (if not automated) Generate a list of tactical WOs from the EAMS according to defined filters Cancel duplicate WOs according to the agreed procedure and authorisations Inspect the equipment or process to understand work to be done (if required) Scope the work in terms of activities, additional tasks (e.g. inspections)  Inspect the equipment or process to understand work to be done (if required) Scope the work in terms of activities, additional tasks (e.g. inspections)  Identify permits required  Review the maintenance schedule in the pre and post maintenance meeting with the team Split WOs between shutdown or non-shutdown Ensure WOs are prioritised according to priorities, asset criticality and other criteria (eg WO age).
The ideal candidate should possess the following:  N6 Certificated in Mechanical or Electrical or Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Industrial) Relevant qualification: Planning or Engineering
