Introduction This position is responsible for planning and coordinating planned maintenance activities on all plant equipment. This includes management of external accredited resources that are routinely used to assist in the planned maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities Completes all administration and maintenance systems tasks required and supports management with routine maintenance schedules. Responsible for the coordination (planning, ordering, and tracking) of spares availability required for maintenance shutdowns. Provides feedback on the efficiency of routine maintenance tasks to the shift and engineering teams, highlighting non-compliance and problems that need to be addressed. Responsible for the coordination of Planned Maintenance Shuts including maintenance planning, cleaning schedules, maintenance schedules, work arising, spares parts and resource planning. Manage and utilize all resources during the planned shut to minimize the time required for the shut as well as Planned Maintenance "Grand Prix Crew" style. Ensuring that Planned Maintenance is professionally performed as per company policy (all required work gets completed in the next shut). Responsible for internal resource planning, as well as coordination of accredited external resources. Ensure that machines and equipment are handed back to Operations in an excellent state, set up and "ready to run". Coordinate pre-shut and post shut meetings. Participate in cost meetings and MDT meetings. Drive the post-mortem review and present it in the weekly reliability meeting. Make use of the maintenance planning system to generate routine maintenance schedules, including required cleaning, lubrication, condition monitoring, electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, production PMs and routine inspection tasks. Responsible for the maintenance of the CMMS system, maintenance schedules, asset care performance KPI etc. Responsible for forward planning, backlog and capacity planning meetings. Adhere to strict safety and housekeeping standards during and after Planned Maintenance shuts. Minimum Requirements Technical Qualification in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering. Trade Tested Artisan from a recognised institution - advantageous. Advanced Computer skills in MS Office, MS Projects, and excellent JDE Maintenance System working knowledge or other CMMS systems. Minimum 5 years trade experience, with at least 2 years of maintenance planning in a Paper Manufacturing environment. Excellent communication and active listening skills. Understanding of SHERQ Regulations. Ability to understand paper manufacturing issues and problem-solving ability for potential solutions. Understanding of 5S methodology and problem-solving tools such as 5Y, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Chart, DMAIC etc.
