Location: Hartbeespoort, Northwest province, South Africa (head office)Description: Maintenance, Operation & Reporting of Solar Energy sitesAn operational and maintenance function for our client base that supports client queries on their systems, optimizing the energy asset and reports on the system health while investigating how to improve energy output.This is conducted through daily site monitoring remotely via smart meters, which results in data collation and analysis. To predict and compare energy yield monthly, daily communication with clients. Further duties include, monthly reporting on all sites, actioning on these reports and arranging various stakeholders for maintenance projects/actions.H&F has sites (>60 and growing) in every province of RSA as well as a few in neighboring countries. Most of them are concentrated in the Gauteng and Northwest areas. KwaZulu and Western Cape follow closely. These include PV electrical and Solar Thermal sites, at a commercial scale.Daily: Check that every plant is operational/functioning as it should.Weekly: Data collection & reporting:ad-hoc maintenance events,internally, to track patterns for prediction,to the client (individual sites) andarrangements with maintenance teams, managing these teams and moving information to centralized checklists, for logging of events such as faults, responses and actions taken/decisions made.Monthly: Compile performance reports, and triggering underperforming projects for physical or more in-depth inspections. Optimization of internal calculators & reporting methodology.Annually: Arranging for annual site inspections as per their design specifications of the plant, including thermography, general testing, coordinated cleaning regimes from internal modelling and operational checks. Organizational function. Optimize site visit activities and tour for site visit.Ad-hoc basis: This also in the weekly timeframe, to react fast to client requests, or mishaps and resolve issues with energy systems, be it logging, metering, hardware, or other faults.The position requires one to be able to work on many tasks at once and keep track of various progress on various sites. For example, while getting quotes for one site, oversee a contractor's work on another while relaying information to another client.Skills: Required: Drivers license.Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans, written and verbal.Experience working with solar systems (Commercial: 50kWp-1MWp).Intermediate Microsoft Excel spreadsheet experience/knowledge.Beneficial, but not required:Electrical background (engineer/electrician), being a certified installation electrician would be of benefit.Experience in solar systems (specifically ATESS & Huawei).Programming of controllers (data loggers, inverters, updates etc.), and meters.
