Maintenance Millwright (Farming)

Minimum requirements for the role:Must be a Certified Millwright (Red Seal)Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Maintenance Millwright on a farmStrong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with a focus on pumps is essentialWillingness to work in a farm environment and adapt to seasonal workload variationsProficiency with diagnostic tools and equipmentAbility to work independently and within a teamKnowledge of safety protocols and compliance standards is essentialExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsMust be proficient in Afrikaans (Written and Spoken)The successful candidate will be responsible for:Performing scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs on farm machinery, including tractors, irrigation systems, and harvesting equipment.Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.Installing, maintaining, and upgrading electrical wiring, control systems, and equipment components.Ensuring all farm machinery complies with safety and operational standards.Collaborating with farm management to ensure timely and efficient resolution of equipment issues.Maintaining records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections.Monitoring spare parts inventory and ordering replacements as required.Training equipment operators on proper usage and basic maintenance practices.Ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.Assisting with the implementation of new technologies or farming machinery.Please note that subsequent to the screening and shortlisting process, all further communication will be entered into, only with the shortlisted candidates.
