Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead their maintenance team.
The role involves overseeing plant and equipment maintenance, optimising efficiency, and minimising downtime, with a focus on coordinating tasks across refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and boiler making departments. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the maintenance team and manage workload distribution across various departments.Plan, implement, and ensure the timely completion of maintenance jobs and projects.Optimise plant and equipment efficiency, minimising downtime.Lead training and development initiatives for the maintenance team.Hire and manage contractors and teams for project execution.Provide clear, concise instructions to engineering teams and review work for technical accuracy.Collaborate with other managers and staff to align maintenance efforts with operational goals.Ensure adherence to health, safety, and HACCP standards.Manage job card distribution and completion for your team.Work flexible hours to ensure successful completion of breakdowns or projects.Requirements and Skills: Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar role.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues.Organisational skills to manage multiple projects, budgets, and schedules.Relevant training and certifications as a Maintenance Manager.Minimum Qualifications: Trade-tested Millwright.Experience with ammonia refrigeration is preferred.N5 Diploma or equivalent.Wireman's license advantageous.Leadership or management courses.Desired Work Experience: Minimum of five years' supervisory experience.Experience in a poultry abattoir is preferred.Due to the high volume of applications, if you have not received a response within two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
