Requirements Essential: B. Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) Essential: Government Certificate of Competency [GCC] as per the OHSA. Preferable: B.Sc. (Mechanical Engineering) Experience: Essential: Over 5 years post-graduation experience in same or similar position. Preferable: Over 3 years in tank terminals maintenance management. Preferable: 5 years chemical processing plant experience. Duties and Responsibilities Focus on delivering results and achieving business outcomes for DBN and RBY. Uphold the requirements of the GMR2.1 as the designated person. Promotes cooperation, manage, coach, and develop a high performing maintenance team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements. Provide technical expertise to the team. Perform root cause analysis on equipment failure and apply reliability centred maintenance (RCM) techniques to resolve problems. · Ensure full preventative maintenance is carried, plan in missed activities and lead the team to deliver effectively as per CMMS. Manage machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery with production management. Schedule both internal and external work(s) minimising planned down time and reducing unplanned down time. Schedule tanks and terminal equipment for statutory inspections, communicate maintenance plans with internal stakeholders and ensure that maintenance is conducted within schedule. Support branch and company maintenance and operating strategies. · Manage and control overtime. Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department. Ensure lockout procedure is followed and equipment is isolated before handing over to maintenance. Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet company and legal requirements. Ensure that housekeeping is practiced at all sections of the factory. Ensure team compliance to all companys established procedures and HSE regulations. Produce written reports and make presentations. Other Attributes: Leadership: must display strong leadership skills, and an ability to effectively manage, lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team. Strategy: think strategically, be open to new ideas, manage innovation. Financial management: Ability to set maintenance budgets, and control. Excellent maintenance management initiatives, e.g., Reliability Centred Maintenance, Assets Care and Condition Monitoring, etc. · Results driven - proven ability to achieve targets within required timeframes and minimize downtime. Decision-making skills: must have superior decision-making skills based on sound principles and 1st principles thinking. Delegation: Must have the ability to delegate and monitor outcomes effectively. Communication: Influencing skills with the ability to resolve issues, build consensus and have proven skill in negotiating and mediating conflict.
