Maintenance Manager (GCC Factories) Role Purpose: The Maintenance Manager is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of the company's facilities and equipment.
This position has a direct impact on overall productivity and operational effectiveness.
The role involves precise planning and meeting equipment needs while maintaining strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical field).
Minimum 10 years in engineering, production or related field
GCC (Government Certificate of Competency)
Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Planning and Implementation: Review and enhance maintenance goals and preventive maintenance (PM) procedures.Collaborate closely with Reliability Engineering and Maintenance Engineers to align planning efforts.Ensure high standards in maintenance execution and work quality.Manage PM evaluations, commissioning, and regular schedule reviews.Support Continuous Improvement (CILT) initiatives and optimize spares management and control, including MRP reporting.Implement and uphold 5S standards in stores, lubrication areas, change-parts stores, and workshops.Oversee tool management via Team Leaders to ensure proper maintenance and accessibility.Actively participate in PM and other enabling pillar teams.Ensure the reliability of all equipment through robust maintenance processes.Drive continuous improvement across engineering functions to boost operational efficiency.Lead cross-functional teams in reducing machine breakdowns, minor stops, and speed restrictions.Maintenance Execution: Maintain high standards for equipment, buildings, and property, ensuring adherence to building regulations and swift responses to inspections and audits.
Budget Management: Plan and coordinate capital projects, ensuring timely completion within budget.Manage the Repair & Maintenance budget in alignment with company's standards.Compliance: Ensure full compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, staying updated on legal requirements and managing necessary surveys, fees, and audits.Deliver on all legislative and Health & Safety (H&S) requirements, maintaining regulatory compliance.Safety, Health, and Environment: Oversee safety processes within the Engineering building.Conduct monthly toolbox talks led by the SHE representative.Ensure completion of safety schedules and proper management of lifting equipment and ladders.Ensure the department adheres to company SHE standards and the OHS Act, fostering a culture of safety and compliance among all staff through ongoing training and commitment to safety protocols.Continuous Improvement in Maintenance Management: Monitor and track maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Daily: Backlog management.Weekly: Order lead times for repairs and inspections, Vertical Start-up (Excel PM report), Work Orders OTIF (Excel PM report).Monthly: Technician utilization, KPI reporting, plant performance analysis.Develop and manage Production Maintenance Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while addressing breakdowns, minor stops, and speed losses.Personnel Management and Development: Ensure PMS compliance for the maintenance team.Manage and improve team performance through performance evaluations and disciplinary measures.Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to timekeeping.Drive delivery in line with job descriptions, focusing on RCFA's, trend analysis, and action closure.Foster a sense of urgency and accountability through loop closure and escalation processes.Promote motivation, performance, teamwork, and communication within and between maintenance teams.Ensure efficient shift handovers and active participation in relevant forums.
