Maintenance Manager – Cape Coastal Honey / Western CapeWe are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and reliability of our production equipment and systems. This critical role ensures that our facility operates smoothly, efficiently and in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.Key Functions:Oversee day-to-day maintenance, repair and optimisation of all production equipment, machinery, and facility infrastructure.Develop and implement facility maintenance policies and procedures.Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.Coordinate repairs and troubleshooting of equipment breakdowns.Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.Work closely with the Production and Quality teams to address urgent maintenance needs.Management of asset registers.Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards and housekeeping standards.Develop and manage the facilities maintenance budget.Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimise spending.Identify and negotiate contracts with external suppliers for maintenance services and supplies.Monitor supplier performance and ensure that agreed service levels are met.Review and approve supplier invoices.Oversee facility improvement projects from conception to completion.Oversee the planning and execution of new equipment projects.Develop project plans, timelines and budgets.Monthly reporting, maintaining accurate maintenance records and reports and relevant administrative tasks.Continuous assessment of the maintenance processes to enhance operational efficiency, sustainability, and hygienic design.Personal Characteristics and Experience:Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities / operations, or related field or equivalent experience in a maintenance management role.Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a food production environment.Proven experience in managing maintenance projects in a fast-paced environment.Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control processes.Excellent project management and communication skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Qliksense, Syspro and Pragma on Key will be an advantage.Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks will be an advantage.Drivers' licence and own reliable transport is essential.Application:Qualifying and interested applicants are requested to submit their application to Liana Weideman at ****** with a motivation highlighting why you should be considered for the position.Submission Deadline: Close of Business on 29 November 2024.If you have not received a response within two weeks of the closing date for applications, kindly consider your application unsuccessful.Note: To consider any application for employment, we will have to process your personal information.
