OverviewTo manage breakdowns in the plant to ensure all repairs are competed in a timely manner with limited production impact. The position will be based at BME Losberg but also accountable for 2 sites based at Rustenburg and Delmas. QualificationsGrade 12 / MatricTrade tested in Electrical / Mechanical (Millwright advantageous)Advanced Diploma / Bachelor of Technology : Electro – Mechanical Qualification / Professional Membership: Additional related courses / qualifications will be advantageous.Red Seal Qualification will be advantageousPLC Siemens certification and systems integration will be advantageousWiremen's Licence Experience5 years demonstrated experience as a Maintenance Foreman3 years demonstrated maintenance experience in a Chemical / mining environment, (Explosives environment will be advantageous) DutiesPlanning and scheduling daily and weekly maintenance activities.Supervise Maintenance ArtisansDeveloping, implementing, and monitoring preventive maintenance programs for Electrical and Mechanical systemsManage internal maintenance projects and control maintenance cost, equipment and spares inventoryMonthly reporting on KPIsEnsuring compliance to all legal safety procedures and processes as prescribed to minimize risks.Fulfil internal and external audits on siteDevelop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal plant performanceLiaise and communicate with suppliers and other service providersWork as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with Company and Maintenance requirementsTake ownership of all policies, guidelines and associated documents from Health and Safety and ensure effective implementation and management thereofCreate and implement the best practice maintenance management vision, strategy, policies, procedures, and processesConduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department in conjunction with the OHS departmentAudit and ensure compliance of any of the systems that falls under your responsibility Job CompetenciesJob Knowledge: Extensive knowledge in the maintenance of centrifugal pumps and positive displacement pumps (Progressive cavity, gear pumps) would be an advantageStrong knowledge of MV and HT systems.Trouble shooting (Fault finding) expertise.Extensive knowledge in the maintenance of VFD's general plant switchgear, processing machinery including pumps, compressors, and boilers.Proficient in Siemens PLC programming from hardware to software configurationKnowledge of the SANS 10142 electrical regulationsProficiency in MS officeKnowledge of ERP systems Job Related Skills: Good planning and organizational skillsGood analytical skillsAttention to detailKnowledge of the production processesProblem-solving skills
