Key Responsibilities: Workshop Management: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the workshop. Ensure the workshop is clean, organized, and safe. Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies. Schedule and prioritize repair and maintenance tasks.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on farm machinery and equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Laying and maintaining water for livestock. Maintenance of buildings, fences, corrals and roads
Team Leadership: Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Administrative Duties: Prepare and manage the workshop budget. Order and manage parts and supplies. Coordinate with external vendors and service providers. Maintain accurate records and reports.
Qualifications & Experience Proven experience as a Maintenance or Workshop Manager or similar role Strong knowledge of farm machinery and equipment Excellent mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills Leadership and team management abilities Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license Knowledge of water pumps and solar power Basic knowledge to maintain buildings Bilingual in Afrikaans and English
Preferred Qualifications: Certification in mechanical or agricultural engineering Experience in a farming environment Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
