MAINTENANCE FITTER & TURNER (Amanzimtoti) International manufacturing group are seeking a Maintenance Fitter & Turner who has three to five years of experience in plant maintenance in a FMCG / manufacturing environment, KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Run continuous improvement projects Be accountable for OEE and related production efficiency KPIs.
Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) & Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) KPI metrics reduction Accountable for the scheduled maintenance plan task, general maintenance tasks and breakdowns Preventative maintenance concepts and programmes.
Set standards and ensure maintenance is being done efficiently and effectively.
Responsible for ensuring equipment is always running at optimal setting.
Working with the safety officer to develop and Maintain safety standards As a member of the Maintenance Team, supports the continuous improvement and growth of Team and assist with general site work where needed.
Utilize workshop equipment to make up equipment and spares, as and when needed.
Interaction with suppliers for the ordering of equipment, spares and outsourced contract work and breakdown assistance.
REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 (with a pass in Mathematics) Trade tested Fitter & Turner / Millwright or similar Three to five years post trade test experience in a FMCG / manufacturing environment.
Three to five years experience with pumps, mixing vessels, boilers, filling machines & labelling machines Have a valid drivers license and own transport Report writing Able to facilitate and present at meetings.
Able to undertake responsibility for area of operation H&S knowledge Quality awareness GMP environment experience advantageous Computer literate The ability to communicate effectively in English (Written and spoken word) A positive dynamic can do attitude Continues improvement mindset Fault analyses and diagnostic skills Able to train and pass on knowledge to team Must be able to work overtime and night shifts on a rotational basis RUMUNERATION Market related package on offer (kindly submit latest payslip and salary expectation with application)
