Maintenance Farm Foreman

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 or equivalent.
Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate (preference will be given to candidate with a boiler-making & electrical experience).
Valid drivers license (truck driving license will be an added advantage).
At least 5 years of working experience, working independently, executing farm equipment maintenance and repairs in agricultural business.
Having worked on an arable farm, and understanding basics of crop production Experience in maintaining irrigation systems.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS Diesel mechanic Boiler making Electrician skills (automotive, and 2/3 phase) Irrigation system maintenance Agricultural GPS systems Operating Farm machinery Basis understanding of Crop production.
People management skills KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Ensure that maintenance & repairs farm equipment is done correct and in a timely manner.
Drive a safety culture within the workshop to prevent safety incidents and achieve 0 Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) through the Safety Interactions and Good Catches.
Keep farmyard, and workshop in a clean state.
Complete farm irrigation system maintenance and repairs on time and avoid repeat failures.
Supervise staff and field operations in absence of the farm manager.
