Minimum Requirements Education: BTech/ BSc/ BEng in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Mechatronics Engineering.
Experience: 3 years' experience in a maintenance function in a manufacturing environment. Experience in maintenance planning. Experience in lean implementation in maintenance. Experience in the automotive sector. ERP System knowledge e.g., Syspro or SAP. Knowledge on QMS & EMS procedures and SA safety and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain system in line with company Production System, ISO9001 and ISO14001. In charge of the metrology and maintenance teams and is responsible to supervise all their activities. Create planned maintenance schedules for the maintenance team leader to implement. Avail oneself for shutdown work when required. Communicate with other departments to ensure adherence to the machine requirements. Planning and organizing spares for maintenance assets. Responsible for all new machine commissioning and plant start-ups as well as decommissioning. Create and maintain maintenance dashboards. Develop work instructions and standard operating procedures for safe maintenance and testing of all plant equipment. Responsible for data and documentation for the purpose of analysis and systems improvement. Participate in daily meetings. Highlight/feedback issues related to potential disturbances for the day and week. Discipline issues of absenteeism, timing, leave planning etc. Identify the training needs of the team members and actions required to impart the training. Maintain a prosper asset register for the whole plant and ensure replacement plans are communicated in time. Ensure all plant equipment are properly tagged for identifiability. Recommend maintenance intervals and prepare plans thereof. Ensure 5S is lived in calibration and maintenance workshop. Ensure tool service and calibration plans for all production and measurement equipment are developed and adhered to. Prepare an annual calibration and maintenance budget for approval by superior. Recommend tools for repair or condemnation and raise purchase orders. Together with Process Engineers, support ME and maintenance Manager in developing Capital budgets for the plant. Be a champion for plant equipment safety. Ensure that equipment, jigs, fixtures, tools, material handling equipment and lifting gear conform to Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act) specifications. Appoint contractors for jobs that cannot be done in-house and supervise them to ensure safe and quality completion thereof. Lead machine breakdown root cause analysis. Support Real Estate function in ensuring company's site facilities are maintained in good working order. Perform related duties as required.
