MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Diploma/ Btech/ Degree or equivalentMinimum 3 years Maintenance/Engineering/Project experience preferably in the chemical/Petro-chemical industryExperience in project managementExperience in maintenance systemsPreparation and management of budgets (OPEX & CAPEX)Good understanding of SHEQ systems (OHSAS 18001, ISO14001 & ISO19001)Good understanding API 653/650 standardsJOB SPECIFICATION:Effectively and efficiently implement and update maintenance strategy for the business unitSubmit monthly projects reports as per departmental requirementsProvide input from a maintenance perspective into the engineering departments business plansConduct feasibility studies as and when requiredPlan and execute planned and unplanned outages/shutdowns with agreed time, cost, quality and scopeEnsure that projects take into consideration ease of maintenance and operationEnsure that a plan is developed and tracked for each project and regular feedback given to management on all projectsLead project/shutdown postmortems meetings for each project and close identified gapsLead root cause analysis of repetitive failure and recommend improvement actionsContribute to site optimisation program by focussing on innovative solutions for continuous improvementEnsure that the service providers limit of authority is strictly adhered to within the contractors area of responsibilityDrive the MOC process and ensure that timeous feedback is given to relevant stakeholdersEnsure timeous receipting and TECO of completed projectsIdentifies risk exposure and risk mitigation measuresEnsure all safety files for service providers are reviewed and approved prior to starting of the project site workEnsure equipment availability is maximised through implementation and management of maintenance strategiesPartake in all investigations relevant to maintenance activities and record learningsEnsure new assets are captured on the system and preventative maintenance plans are developed and implementedFacilitate close out of all departmental internal and external auditsAssist in development and management of maintenance OPEX and CAPEX budget for the businessKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Ability to plan, organise, priorities and multi-task at a senior levelHigh levels of integrity and confidentialityAbility to interact with and influence external and internal stakeholdersExcellent communication and problem-solving skills
