Key Responsibilities : Health and Safety Compliance Develop, implement, and manage preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to optimise system performance and ensure cost-effective operation. Plan and allocate manpower and resources to efficiently complete maintenance tasks and respond to operational requirements. Lead the team in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, and integrate these solutions into the organisation's operational control systems. Drive engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time , within budget , and according to the required specifications. Supervise and lead a team of Technicians and Artisans , ensuring maintenance standards are adhered to and the team functions at optimal levels. Key Attributes : Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proven leadership and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment . Excellent project management skills , with a proven ability to meet deadlines and budget constraints. Hands-on technical knowledge and the ability to manage a team of frontline staff. Qualifications and Experience : BSc or BEng in Mechanical Engineering or a related qualification. A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience , with at least 5 years in a Maintenance Engineer role in manufacturing or industrial environments. Must have or be willing to obtain a Government Certificate of Competency for factories within 24 months. Experience in developing and managing maintenance plans and working with heavy plant equipment . Knowledge of maintenance planning and strong technical acumen, with a background in the metals industry preferred.
