Maintenance Coordinator

Role Overview: The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities across the estate, ensuring that all facilities, equipment, and grounds are in excellent condition. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks, coordinate with various departments, and lead a team of maintenance staff. Key Responsibilities:

Plan, schedule, and oversee all maintenance activities to ensure efficient operation of the estate.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and grounds to identify and address maintenance needs.
Coordinate and supervise a team of maintenance workers, providing guidance and support.
Manage and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment and facilities.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure maintenance activities do not disrupt estate operations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment servicing.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors.

Experience and Requirements:

Matric
Proven experience in maintenance coordination or a similar role, preferably within a hospitality setting.
English literacy
Good health
Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, equipment, and safety standards
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
