Job OpportunityENERGY: ELECTRICITY GENERATION AND DISTRIBUTION – ENTERPRISE ASSET MANAGEMENTBASIC SALARY: R478 299 PER ANNUMREF NO: NRG 23Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Performance Areas: Daily interaction/input in the daily vehicle movement meeting regarding the status of outsourced work.Attend maintenance planning meetings, plan and schedule work to be outsourced while ensuring a fair allocation of work to vendors.Arrange replacement vehicles for operations when required in compliance with the service level agreement.Ensure that concise work specifications are compiled using technical information from senior superintendents from vehicle and hydraulic workshops, and given to vendors regarding maintenance standards required in compliance with laid down fleet management policies.Align various maintenance tasks, i.e., hydraulic maintenance tasks and statutory certification with mechanical servicing of vehicles and COF (Certificate of Fitness), and coordinate the execution thereof to minimize downtime on the Electricity Services fleet.Liaise with quality assurance inspectors regarding the inspection of outsourced work to ensure that the work to be executed is necessary, that quality standards are maintained, and that the prices quoted are fair and reasonable, and arrange authority for such repairs within financial delegated authorities.Insert relevant information (quantitative/qualitative) and/or details of activities.Refer to work schedules and registers to re-prioritize such schedules where necessary.Desired Experience & QualificationRequirements: Trade test Diesel or Petrol.5 years relevant experience in Diesel or Petrol Trade post qualification.Computer literacy in view of Council focus on use of Email and SAP systems.Valid Driver's licence: Code EB.Package & RemunerationR478 299 PER ANNUMInterested?Please apply online at www.capetown.gov.za/careers (external applicants) or via the SAP Portal (internal applicants), unless otherwise stated.By submitting your application for a position at the City of Cape Town, you are consenting to the use of your personal information provided as part of your application and/or Recruitment process for Recruitment and Selection purposes.
