SALARY RANGE: Total Annual Package (CTC) – R217,778.00 - R256,209.00
LOCATION: ICASA (Head Office – EcoPark, Centurion)
POSITION STATUS: Permanent
Purpose of the job To provide a positive, conducive working environment and high standard of building and facilities maintenance.
Key Outputs: Installation, repairing (disassemble & re-assemble), maintaining, and care for buildings, their fixtures, and equipment/assets.Performing routine and preventive maintenance on all assets and resources of ICASA.Performing minor plumbing repairs (unblocking toilets and drains, etc.).Conducting minimal repairs on furniture and equipment.Checking daily schedules and performing assigned routine tasks and maintenance repair jobs.Completing all daily maintenance requests and reporting any unfinished work to the facilities office.Assisting with ensuring that buildings are free from risks and hazards.Delivery and collection of groceries and items to various programmes and offices.Preparation of the canteen and boardrooms for public hearings.Setting up recording equipment for official ICASA meetings.Assisting with asset verification processes.Assisting with physical movement of assets to various offices/boardrooms.Assisting with the safekeeping of stored items in storerooms.Arranging storerooms and checking that they are safely packed and clean at all times.Accompanying service providers when maintenance work is being done.Assisting ICASA in its compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.Assisting with identification & completion of facilities risk assessment.Checking that all emergency doors are not obstructed, removing and reporting any obstructions.Checking that all emergency doors are fitted with safety brackets for easy opening during emergency evacuations.Qualifications and Experience: Relevant Higher Certificate in Electrical Engineering (NQF level 5).Minimum 2 years working experience performing facilities maintenance duties, similar to those specified above.Key Competencies and Attributes: Physical fitness.Attention to detail.Basic administrative and writing skills.Basic record-keeping skills.Problem-solving.Practices, processes, and materials used in building, maintenance, and construction.Proper use of common hand power tools.Proper methods for lifting and moving heavy objects.Safety practices common to the building, maintenance, and construction.Safety requirements for handling toxic or hazardous materials.Ability to perform heavy sustained labour work.NB: The email addresses provided above should be used for enquiries only.
