QualificationMatricTrade Tested FitterN3 Certificate in Mechanical EngineeringRequirementsMinimum 3 years' experience in an industrial, manufacturing environmentComputer literate on MS Word, MS Excel and OutlookAble to use a range of tools and engineering techniques to maintain and repair mechanical plant machinery and equipment to operational standardsUp to date knowledge of current fitting standards and practices as well as any developments around tooling used in the fitting tradeDutiesOperation of the clip machine to meet daily and monthly production targets.Clip changeovers are carried out in a timely mannerIn-process inspections are performed as per intervals to ensure a quality product (QA)Perform QC checks on incoming strip steel coilsProduction scrap and overtime is kept to a minimum as per agreed targetGoals with respect to goal alignment and Housekeeping 5S are agreed upon and achievedPlant, Equipment and Machines are inspected and repaired as per the monthly maintenance schedule or when a break down is reported and a repair requestedNecessary checks on all repaired machines and/or equipment are performed periodically as required by production to make sure they are in a good working orderModifications to machines and equipment are performed when requiredFault finding and problem solving on equipmentPreventative and corrective maintenance is performed as per OHS regulations, quality standards and maintenance proceduresBreakdown repairs are performed after hours when necessaryGenerate procedures and manuals for machinery when requiredDown time on equipment is minimised by performing the repair in the shortest time frame possible
