GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:Reporting structure: This Position reports into the Director for the Manitou CentresThe Sales Manager (Machine) is responsible for:Managing a team of sales professionals.Overseeing the sales process for machine products including attachments and products associated with machine sales.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Sales Team Management:Lead and supervise a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure they meet or exceed sales targets.Sales Strategy Development:Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics to drive revenue growth and achieve sales objectives.Customer Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, identifying their needs and ensuring excellent customer service.Market Research:Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.Sales Forecasting:Analyze sales data and trends to forecast future sales volumes, ensuring proper inventory management and production planning.Product Knowledge:Develop a deep understanding of the machines and equipment being sold to effectively communicate their features and benefits to customers.Budget Management:Develop and manage the sales department budget, allocating resources efficiently to achieve sales goals.Sales Reporting:Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, summarizing performance, challenges, and opportunities.Training and Development:Provide training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills.Compliance:Ensure that all sales activities and processes comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.EDUCATION:Minimum qualification:A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related fieldEXPERIENCE & SKILLSExperience:Several years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.Prior experience in machinery or equipment salesManagement Experience:Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role is essential for this position.Industry Knowledge:Strong knowledge of the machinery and equipment industry, including understanding of technical specifications and applications.Sales Skills:Exceptional sales and negotiation skills to close deals and drive revenue.Leadership Skills:The ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve their goals.Communication:Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and present sales strategies and reports to senior management.Analytical Skills:The capacity to analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions.Customer Focus:A customer-centric approach, ensuring that customer needs are understood and met.Technical Aptitude:Basic technical knowledge of the machinery and equipment being sold.Budgeting and Financial Management:The ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.Adaptability:Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and business priorities.INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:Strong Customer interactions, both internal and ExternalLOCATION & EXPECTED TRAVEL:This position is based at Proton Industrial Park, Chloorkop, South Africa.Customer and site visits nationally will be required.Job Type: Full-timeApplication Question(s):How many years of supervisory or managerial sales experience do you have?What is your current Basic salary?Education:Bachelors (Preferred)Experience:Machine or Equipment Sales: 5 years (Preferred)
