Machine Operator - Packaging

Location: Epping Position/Title: Machine Operator Reports To: Packaging Manager Employment Type: Permanent
Number of Reports: 0Overall Responsibility:
The Machine Operator will operate or control any machinery relating to packaging as required and to the relevant product specifications.

Focus Area 1
Machine Operator

Apply Fundamental/Situational Knowledge of Packaging Equipment and Processes
Assist in managing material usages and waste on shift
Operate machine and equipment according to the SOP
Adhere to safe working practices at all times.
Adhere to food safety related rules and activities as per factory instructions
Maintain housekeeping standards in his area of operation - Maintain 5S standard
Comply with OSH act and other safety regulations

Requirements of the Role:

Matriculation
Packaging Learnership advantageous
1 year experience operating a machine

Preferred Skills/Competencies:

Operate plant and process equipment
Maintain a safe and healthy working environment
Willing to work shifts assigned according to the schedule
Work in teams
Good Record Keeping
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
