Business Segment: Insurance & Asset ManagementLocation: ZA, GP, Roodepoort, Ellis Street 4Job Responsibilities:Assess and adjust losses of complex claims such as Subsidence, Storms, etc.Manage, control, and attend to contractor audits and authorizations over-mandate.Conduct upfront assessments and handle customer complaints.Enforce correct interpretation of the Homeowners insurance policy with panel service providers and clients.Perform mentoring and coaching support for SIL, service providers, and clients on products and technical aspects.Qualifications:Education:Diploma in Construction TechnologyDegree in Building Science or ConstructionFire investigation, Kwikot Benchmark trainingFAIS CompliantExperience:Minimum of 5 years as a Building AssessorMinimum of 3 years' experience in the Short-Term Insurance industryKnowledge of Homeowners policy wording interpretationKnowledge of National Building Regulations and practical application thereof.Technical Knowledge:RatesBuilding and construction practicesFlooring (carpets, wooden, and laminates)RoofingCeilingsBuilt-in cupboardsMunicipal bylawsKnowledge of Underwriting requirementsBehavioral Competencies:Judgment exerciseClient-facingAnalytical abilityCommunication and relationship buildingResilienceAssertivenessCommitmentTechnical Competencies:Communication SkillsDocument ManagementGeneral AdministrationInsurance OperationsInsurance ProcessingInsurance ProductsInsurance Risk ManagementRisk ManagementControl Evaluation
