Looms Operator / Assembler

Key responsibilities / main job duties:- Crimping of contacts to wires ensuring that crimping is done to correct standards- Inserting wires to connectors- Sleeving / harnessing of wires to form a loom adhering to set standards- Correct assembly of wires to form a loom using the relevant work specification (schematic, instructions, samples)- Running wires using running lists- Routing cables on loom boards- Assisting with loom installation into product- Soldering of components where required- Using the heat gun to seal the looms- Ensuring that sleeve and or wires do not have nicks, breaks in them as this can result in sparks which may result in damage to wires, productCandidate requirements:- Qualification and/or professional license(s)- MatricExperience needed- Hand tool experience (heat gun, glue gun, soldering iron, etc)- Electronic, wiring, component knowledge- Soldering experience (small components, wiring)
