Job Title: Looms Operator / AssemblerLocation: Airport City - Cape townSalary: Market relatedVacancy Type: Full-TimeClosing date for applications: End Dec 2024Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:Qualification: Matric.Hand tool experience (heat gun, glue gun, soldering iron, etc).Electronic, wiring, component knowledge.Soldering experience (small components, wiring).No colour blindness with 20/20 visionBeneficial requirements:Attention to detail with good hand eye co-ordination.Eager and able to learn.Manage pressure and deadlines.Team orientated.Dexterity & precision in work execution.Adaptable and flexible.Duties and responsibilities:Crimping of contacts to wires ensuring that crimping is done to correct standards.Inserting wires to connectors.Sleeving / harnessing of wires to form a loom adhering to set standards.Correct assembly of wires to form a loom using the relevant work specification (schematic, instructions, samples).Running wires using running lists.Routing cables on loom boards.Assisting with loom installation into product.Soldering of components where required.Using the heat gun to seal the looms.Ensuring that sleeve and or wires do not have nicks, breaks in them as this can result in sparks which may result in damage to wires, product.
