A VACANCY EXISTS IN THE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT IN BERLIN (East London, South Africa) FOR A LOGISTICS MANAGERPrimary purpose of the jobOrganise Berlin's logistical activities and workforce.
Train, motivate, coach and lead employees.
Control performance results.
Lead the logistics operations in Berlin to ensure optimum logistic performance with the highest customer satisfaction.
Implement guidelines and procedures to ensure uniform operations in all logistical areas.
Identify key performance indicators and introduce methods to monitor and improve short comings.Key Performance Areas:Identify, introduce and monitor key performance indicators.Ensure the highest customer satisfactionCompile, implement and maintain procedures to ensure uniform operationsEnsure optimum logistical performanceReport daily/ weekly/ monthly on the status of the Logistics Department performance.Compile the financial and capex budgets for LogisticsManage and monitor departmental expenses against budgetCreate a performance driven culture through reward and recognition for excellencyKnowledge required:Sound knowledge of SAP/ MRPSound knowledge of layout & efficiency improvementsKnowledge and understanding of production processesKnowledge and understanding of supply and chain functionsSound knowledge of Excel and PowerPointKnowledge of and abilities to execute performance management processesSound knowledge of IR and grievance procedures.Skills required:Excellent communication skills a necessityOrganising and leadershipSound decision making skills requiredCustomer centricityMust be motivated and goal drivenMust be able to work independentlyAbility to develop, retain and influence high performance teams / individualsMinimum requirements:3years Degree in Supply Chain Management/ Purchasing/ Business AdministrationMinimum 5 years' experience in supply chain/ logistics environmentMinimum 3 years' experience with MPS/ MRP (SAP)Minimum 5 years' experience in an Automotive manufacturing environment
