Duties:Oversee the daily operations of the FG warehouse, IS warehouse and consumable stores.A deep understanding of demand forecasting and just-in-time inventory principles. Maintain accurate stock control.Implement stock rotation (FIFO)Manage, coach and develop a high-performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvementsData analysis and forecasting for identifying trends, forecasting future supply needs, and making data-driven decisionsDevelop and manage the logistics budget.Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality or service.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining the quality and integrity of products.Ensure compliance with all company standards and proceduresResponsible for finalization and submission of CARs relating to non-conformances in the department as directed by QA.Adhere to all laid down Company safety policies & the OHS Act.Ensure an understanding of the departmental budget, as may be applicable, and ensure a practice of cost control.Ensure accurate and timely reporting as may apply to the respective KPAs for the positionMinimum Requirements:Bachelors degree or relevant qualification in either Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a relevant field.5-7 years of experience in warehousing and logistics as well as at least 3 years of proven team management experience. (Automotive industry experience will be advantageous).Prior experience working as a Logistics / Supply Chain Manager.Experience in:dealing with budgets, inventory reportsManaging staff on a rotational shift systemManaging dunnage, vehicles and loading equipmentMicrosoft Word proficiency, advanced Excel and ERP systems (SYSPRO) is essential.Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management softwareKnowledge of stock-take processes and associated terminology as well as implementation process improvement initiativesProficient knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
