Logistics Manager

You will coordinate the logistics in South Africa and support the logistics for export overseas.
Furthermore the job can be extended with other related logistics and/or admin tasks.We are looking for a young and dynamic person, who speaks Afrikaans and English.
Any other language is welcome.
Brings enthusiasm and team spirit to the business.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:-Coordinate Sea freight outbound logistics on all trades-Manage third party service providers: freight forwarders and transporters-Build relationships with shipping lines and negotiate rates-Transport coordination, loading and off-loading of produce for exports-Be available 24/7 on-call for transport queries and coordination decisions that needs to be made-Arrange inspections as needed.
Sometimes you will receive a call or message in the evening or weekends-Support on marine insurance claims-Manage and interact professionally with clients and growers on logistics matters-Administration handling of the export process, related documents and the restRequirements:Applicable tertiary qualification, university degree or diploma3+ years in LogisticsFruit industry experience is ESSENTIAL Behavioural Competencies-Assertive.
