PURPOSE:Overall responsibility for the movement, storage, distribution and administration of our client's stock - to ultimately ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at the best cost.
Responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to enhance customer service, increase sales and efficiency and the overall profitability of the business.
Responsible for managing the relationship and deliverables of logistics partners and vendorsKEY SELECTION CRITERIA: Person SpecificationPossess confidence and authority to obtain information and direct team activitiesForward thinking with a high degree of initiative to solve problems and improve work processesAble to analyse complex situations and formulate structured action plansAvailable to work on a full-time flexible basis and travel domestically as requiredMeticulous and highly organisedAble to complete tasks accurately, systematically and within rigid timelinesApplies logic and commercial reason to decision makingAble to manage competing priorities to commercial effectSelf-motivated, displays resilience and persistenceAble to work independently and accepts responsibility for own actions and the achievement of intended outcomesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsEffective in a team-based environment and in support of team objectivesCommunicates information effectively in a calm, friendly and supportive mannerQualification, Skills and Experience required Grade 12 qualification supported by at least 5 years' experience in a similar roleA qualification in International Freight Management/ Transport Economics or Supply Chain Management would be advantageousQuantifiable experience in international import supply chain management and distributionThorough knowledge of domestic warehousing and courier operationsStrong administrative skillsGood numerical skillsDemonstrated commercial acumenWorking knowledge of CRM and ERP system - MS Business Central would be an added advantageGood written and spoken skills in EnglishHigh degree of professionalismintermediate skills in Excel and SharePoint Responsibilities Drive the movement and storage of international inbound shipmentsDrive domestic distribution of stockDrive administrationResponsible for the development and implementation of strategies to enhance customer service, increase sales & efficiency and the overall profitability of the business
