Logistics Information Controller

We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Information Controller to join our dynamic team, based in Durban.
To provide meaningful and analytical data to operational departments within the warehouse and to oversee the administration of retailer claims.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREASEnsure that all control policies and procedures are documented and implemented within the functional areas.Compile management and head office reports on expenses and recoveries.Manage expenses and recoveries in line with budget, and reporting of exceptions to relevant departments (report on costs/expenses by cost centre compared to budget).Handle logistic supplier queries into PO's and Payments.Update SPAR processes and procedure documents in respect of claims and other logistics functional areas.Assisting with warehouse annual budgeting and forecasting.Maintain and update warehouse admin assets register.Lead, manage, and mentor the claims team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high levels of performance and productivity.Manage and monitor team performance through the ROI process, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement individual development plans.Implement effective disciplinary and grievance procedures, ensuring compliance with the company's code of conduct.Manage staff requirements by verifying attendance, shift requirements, recruitment and appointment of staff.Assist with internal and external audit reviews and control/policy implementation.Oversee the overall claims department ensuring that claims are maintained at current levels.Effective communication with customers (internal and/or external) pertaining to claims age analysis.Maintain relations with all relevant stakeholders.Monitor claims portal at current levels.Drive a continuous improvement culture within the department.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSA Matric Certificate.Diploma/Degree in Financial Management.Minimum of 2 years in Financial Administration.Experience in leading employees and developing teams.Computer Literacy competence (SAP, MS Office) with operational financial skills.High level of stress tolerance, high energy levels and the ability to work under pressure.Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong teams.Attention to detail, time management with planning and organising skills.Thorough understanding of budgeting and financial controls.Exposure to continuous improvement of processes and systems.Good communication, solutions focus and analytical skills.Ability to work flexi-hours in line with business requirements.
