Job title: Logistics Coordinator – Technology related businessCompany: Rory Mackie & AssociatesJob description: PURPOSE: Support the movement, storage, distribution and administration for our client, to ultimately ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at the best cost.
Responsible for the flow and management of supply chain documentation.
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance customer service, increase sales & efficiency and the overall profitability of the business.KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:Meticulous and highly organised.Able to complete tasks accurately, systematically and within rigid timelines.Applies logic and commercial reason to decision making.Able to manage competing priorities to commercial effect.Self-motivated, displays resilience and persistence.Able to work independently and accepts responsibility for own actions and the achievement of intended outcomes.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Effective in a team-based environment and in support of team objectives.Communicates information effectively in a calm, friendly and supportive manner.Available for occasional domestic travel.Qualification, Skills and Experience required:Grade 12 qualification supported by at least 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.A qualification in International Freight Management/ Transport Economics or Supply Chain Management would be advantageous.Good understanding of international import supply chain management.Thorough knowledge of domestic warehousing and courier operations.Strong administrative skills.Good numerical skills.Demonstrated commercial acumen.Working knowledge of CRM and ERP system – MS Business Central – would be an added advantage.Good written and spoken skills in English.High degree of professionalism.Intermediate skills in Excel and SharePoint.Limits of Authority: Acts under direction from the Head of Operations.
