Through partnerships with top-tier breeding programs, they deliver specialty grape varieties directly from the farm to consumers.Position Overview:Our client, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage and oversee logistics operations for the export of perishable products within South Africa. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective coordination between cold storage facilities, farms, and freight forwarders to meet international demand.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all logistics operations for exporting perishable products, ensuring seamless coordination.Manage container bookings and quantities to optimize loading efficiency.Liaise directly with cold storage facilities and farms to coordinate volumes, loading schedules, times, and inspections.Conduct seasonal forecasting to manage volume planning, including GEO temperature monitoring devices, container volumes, weekly pallet allocations, and sterilization capacity.Communicate Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) and proactively address potential constraints related to vessel planning to ensure optimal packing schedules.Manage stock allocation across containers and target markets.Collaborate with procurement and technical teams to ensure accurate program management.Work closely with freight forwarders to ensure smooth loading operations and resolve any logistics issues that arise.Ensure sterilization containers are scheduled in advance, adhering to all protocols required by both technical teams and cold storage facilities.Requirements:Relevant qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.Proven experience in coordinating logistics for perishable products, preferably in the agricultural or food export sector.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.Experience working with cold storage facilities and freight forwarders is highly advantageous.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.Preferred Qualifications:Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain. Knowledge of export regulations for perishable products.Experience with forecasting and logistics planning tools.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to efficiency.Working hours: Full time permanent positionArea: Paarl, office based position.Salary: Negotiable, market related and dependent on experience.
