Logistics Coordinator (Fruit Industry) (Freight Forwarding)

POSITION: Logistics Coordinator (Fruit Industry) LOCATION: Durbanville North, Western Cape Our client, a leading fruit exporter situated in Durbanville, has an exciting position available for a Logistics Coordinator.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of logistics operations within the fruit industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Daily logistical planning of cold store dispatch activities (container bookings; Q67; loading instructions and daily planning)  and the flow of information to all the relevant stakeholders.
Allocation of daily timeslots for all fruit dispatches into containers or trucks.
Preparation of documentation for dispatches and fruit inspections.
Managing risks regarding logistical activities.
Liaising with clients on a regular basis.
Maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: Relevant tertiary qualification (B degree or equivalent) preferably in Logistics.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position, preferably within the fruit industry.
Working experience with a pallet management system such as Pal track will be an advantage.
Knowledge of fruit export documentation will be advantageous.
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word and Outlook).
Experience in managing a small team.
Work extended hours when required.
