IHC South Africa is currently seeking a Logistics Administrator. In this role, you will focus on the logistics functions undertaken by the Supply Chain team, providing support to the Services, Project Engineering and Products departments. You will work as an integral part of the Services team, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
As the Logistics Administrator, you will have the following responsibilities:
Inbound shipments (imports and local) from suppliers - Execute, process, track and report on inbound shipments, utilizing the network of freight forwarders;
Outbound shipments (exports and local) to customers – Execute, process, track and report on outbound shipments, utilizing the network of freight forwarders;
Documentation - Create, compile and file import and export delivery documentation packs;
Picking and Packing lists - Extract and compile picking and packing lists for stores in preperation for consignment finalization;
Customer notifications – Prepare weekly customer notifications for planned shipments and collections;
Invoicing - Prepare preliminary customer invoices, coordinating with the accounts department;
Stock management - Coordinate, report and handle customer call-off stock held at the IHC SA location;
Administration - Ensure all shipping documentation is received from freight forwarders and filed accordingly;
Finance - assist the Finance department with compilation and reporting on export documentation, customer invoicing and follow up on overdue payments;
Purchase administration – Send RFQ's to freight forwarders, initiate and execute purchase requisitions and purchase orders and receipt and filing of supplier invoices for all shipping related activities;
Approved Suppliers - Maintain and grow the Approved Supplier List, utilizing set procedures; and
Ensure compliance with the configuration management system.
