Location: JohannesburgDescription:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Industry experience in cross border logistics and freight forwarding essentialExperience with reviewing truck manifests, bills of lading, PODs and other customs documents essential1+ years experience in transport administration, reviewing customs documents, rates management, project reviews and issuing purchase orders to vendorsStrong MS Excel skills essentialStrong systems knowledge (Navision, Navitrans & Qlikview)Process orientated with a good attention to detailHighly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks in fast changing environmentMust be able to work under pressure and adhere to aggressive deadlinesStrong communicator and fluent in EnglishKey Responsibilities:Input transport/FOB/Ocean Freight data, into systemReview project PnL to ensure accuracy and validityReview truck tracking reports & analyse cargo movementsSettlement proposals are issued to vendors accurately and on timePerform quality review audits on projects completion and timeous submission to Finance for invoicingTransport project management:Ensure that projects are correctly set up within the system in terms of project SOPs & QuotationsReview truck data received from sites and upload data into systemEnsure that sell & buy rates charged agree to quotations and authorised price listsReview all PODs and related documents for completeness and accuracy before invoicingIssue purchase Settlement Proposals (i.e. purchase orders) to vendors (transporters, warehouses etc.) once services renderedUpload supporting documents into online document management systemReview of projects and submit to finance team for invoicingEnsure that all transport projects are correctly closed off and relevant documents are archivedPerform quality control reviews on completed projects.Reporting Responsibilities:Preparation of project & POD dashboardsPreparation of other ad hoc reports and analysis as requiredKey Relationships:Operations team across regionRegional commercial teamShared Services teams in South Africa
