We are currently seeking a Lodge Resident Manager for a Luxury Lodge in Bela Bela, Limpopo.DutiesOperational Oversight: Oversee daily operations of the lodge, ensuring all departments function smoothly and efficiently. Implement and enforce standard operating procedures to maintain high-quality service and guest satisfaction.Guest Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively. Foster a welcoming atmosphere and enhance guest experiences through personalized service.Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise lodge staff across various departments, including housekeeping, front desk, and food and beverage. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.Financial Management: Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the lodge, including monitoring expenses and revenue. Prepare financial reports and analyses to assess the lodge's financial performance and identify areas for improvement.Maintenance and Safety: Ensure that the lodge's facilities are well-maintained, clean, and safe for guests and staff. Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.Event Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating special events, conferences, and activities held at the lodge. Work with other departments to ensure seamless execution of events and high guest satisfaction.Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the lodge's offerings and attract new guests. Manage online presence and social media accounts to enhance visibility and engagement.Quality Assurance: Monitor service quality across all departments, ensuring consistency and adherence to lodge standards. Gather guest feedback through surveys or direct communication to identify areas for improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic direction and vision for the Lodge, aligning it with company objectives.Oversee daily operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, safari, retail, spa, reserve, and maintenance.Develop and implement effective strategies to optimize revenue generation, occupancy rates, and overall profitability.Foster a positive work environment and lead a diverse team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards.Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, suppliers, and business partners to enhance the Lodge's reputation and drive customer loyalty.Monitor guest feedback and take proactive measures to address any issues, ensuring a seamless and delightful experience for all guests.Analyse financial reports, control costs, and prepare budgets to achieve financial targets.Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and make informed decisions.Minimum RequirementsMinimum of 5 years of experience as General Manager or Resident Manager, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in Food and Beverage.Proven track record of successfully managing lodge operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving common goals.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Sound knowledge of hotel financials, revenue management, and budgeting.Proficient in industry-specific software and systems.Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field (preferred).
