Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a strong, passionate Lodge Manager for beautiful lodge based in Northern KZN. Based 2 hours north of Durban this luxury lodge is looking for an outgoing, passionate Lodge Manager to take the reins for this exciting opening.
Requirements
:
Must have at least 5 years experience in this level or a similar position
Must have proven hospitality management track record with the ability to lead and manage a team
Experience in managing the various areas of the lodge operations such as reservations, stores/stocks, procurement controls, financial management systems and human resources is critical
Must be able to speak Zulu and understand the culture
Guest liaison and interaction is essential – this is not intended as an office only job!

Managing the day-to-day operations of the lodge
Managing the various teams and ensuring they perform to the best of their abilities
Managing the guest expectations and ensuring a consistently high standard of hospitality is delivered
Personal Attributes:
Must be a "people's person" who genuinely enjoys being in hospitality and serving guests
Must understand the importance of teamwork and creating good dynamics for their team to deliver
Must have a passion for sustainable hospitality and willingness to play a vital role in supporting rural communities, conservation development initiatives and the sharing of a unique Zulu area.
A team player is essential – someone who enjoys supporting the broader lodge staff and can step in where needed!
Someone who understands the importance of effective planning and attention to detail.
Ability to perform under pressure- but also organised enough to ensure the pressure is averted and/or managed entirely!
