EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR A LODGE MANAGER!
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a dynamic Lodge Manager to lead a dedicated team in delivering an unforgettable guest experience at a luxury lodge. This is your chance to make a significant impact in a stunning setting while ensuring operational excellence and staff well-being.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the Heads of Department (HOD) team in all operational, health, safety, and staff welfare functions.
Ensure guests receive top-quality service and that their expectations are consistently met.
Maintain high operational standards and lodge maintenance.
Assign daily tasks to the HOD team, organize workflow, and ensure clarity in duties and expectations.
Monitor productivity, providing constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
Optimize financial operations, control expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Professionally interact with guests, addressing complaints swiftly and effectively.
Regularly report to the General Manager on all lodge activities and performance.
Foster a safe and healthy working environment for all staff, including meals and accommodations.
Facilitate clear communication between management and departmental teams to ensure smooth operations.
Build and maintain relationships with the local community, suppliers, and contractors.
Uphold and communicate the lodge's vision, mission, and business ethics to the team.

Core Competencies:

Strong operational knowledge across all departments.
Understanding of South African Labour Laws and health and safety requirements.
Excellent communication, time management, and project management skills.
Proven leadership ability to inspire and set an example for the team.
