Lodge Manager – Luxury 5-Star Property
A leading 5-star lodge is seeking an experienced
Lodge Manager
to oversee all operational aspects and ensure the delivery of exceptional guest experiences. This is a live-in position offering an incredible opportunity to work within a world-class hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage Heads of Department (HODs) across all operational areas.
Maintain top-tier guest experiences by upholding exceptional service standards.
Ensure operational efficiency, safety compliance, and staff welfare.
Manage lodge maintenance and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Oversee budgets, control costs, and ensure financial efficiency.
Address guest complaints promptly and professionally.
Build and maintain relationships with the local community, suppliers, and contractors.
Create a positive and productive work environment for all staff.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior management role in a 5-star lodge or hotel.
Strong operational knowledge across all departments.
Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
Understanding of South African Labour Laws, Health & Safety standards, and HR procedures.
Proven ability to manage budgets and optimize expenses.
Package Details:
Salary:
R42,000 – R45,000 per month, depending on experience.
Benefits:
Live-in position, meals on duty or meal allowance (R850), provident fund (7.5% company contribution), and medical aid contribution (capped at Essential Saver on Discovery).
